DRM Conundrum
Look, I get it - no one likes to have their stuff stolen. This is why Ubisoft elected to require that your PC contacts the Ubi mothership every time you fire up Assassin's Creed 2 - to make sure that you are who you are supposed to be and that your copy of the game has been bought and paid for in a legitimate manner.

The Top Ten Most Annoying People on Voice Comms
These alien humanoid life forms are almost always present in any given gaming voice system:

She Said/He Said: Walter Payton Hates Kia
GN_David: So, I'm listening to a podcast about "The Jersey Shore" (which I have never seen) and they are talking about some character on the show called "The Situation" which is making me think about all of the awesome names that I could have used for myself in various MMO's but failed to do so. Like "Colon Killer". Or "Cool". Or "Sweetness". I think if I had used one of these names I would be a hell of a lot more popular.

PVP Conundrum
GN_Patty and GN_David are anomalies in about a hundred different ways. They are both gamers, concerned citizens, potential kidney donors, and convinced that aliens live and work among us. At the same time, they can't seem to agree on much – as these essays will prove. As always, GN_Kelly is ALL too happy to explain why both of their points of view are just, well, wrong.

She Said/He Said: The Gay Edition
GN_David – One of the more fascinating things to me about guild life is how the word “gay” gets constantly thrown around as both an insult and a badge of honor.

Mobile MMO's?
If you're anything like me (and for your sake I hope that isn't the case) you can't help but wonder what is going on in whatever game it is that you play when you are removed from it by work or school or your stupid cousin's rehearsal dinner.

Dammit, Sometimes the Internet Ruins Things
Last night I decided to look through the incredibly sparse catalog of movies that Xbox Live offers and landed on War, Inc and started the HD download. After about three hours I realized that it'd be the next day before I could actually watch the damn thing so I killed several hours watching Youtube clips from Clerks II and Chasing Amy before finally falling asleep in a depressed state because it became crystal clear to me that if I had a decent video camera when I was about 21 I could have easily made movies as good as Kevin Smith did - but that's a whole different story.

Geek Movies I Saw in 2008 - a Review
I don't watch a lot of movies (which makes me question the wisdom of my Netflix account)and I flatly refuse to go to movie theaters. Seriously, is it necessary for every movie to be played at +148 decibels? I understand the whole "but this one goes up to eleven" thing but it's getting kind of ridiculous. Between the volume and the fact that you can't drink or smoke, movie theaters have lost my business. I am sure that concerns them. Anyhow - here are the three movies I watched this last year that qualify as kinda geeky...

That Guy
We all know "That Guy" (TG) - and we hate him - even when he is ourselves.
