I'm pretty much a two year old when it comes to my characters in games. They are my toys. Mine alone. No one shall touch them. NO ONE!

One of my fondest gaming memories is playing Maniac Mansion: Day of the Tentacle by Lucas Arts. It certainly wasn't the first game I'd ever played, but it was the first I played on a PC.

My three year old son has been able to operate all of the functions on my husband's Ipod Touch since before he could walk, however, the mouse for our laptop, netbook and computer all confuse him.

Over the past few months I've come to loathe any and all Facebook games.

I've been gaming in various formats for the majority of my life, and for a good portion of that time I had all the focus any gamer could ask for to accomplish the myriad of goals set before me. This has drastically changed in the last several years, specifically, since I had my first baby. My life has now become a series of miniscule blocks of time where I try to squeeze in tasks amongst full time baby/toddler care...

In the MMO world there is a seemingly never ending clash between the power gamers and the casual gamers.

It seems to be a rapidly developing trend for any game that has an internet connection to find a way to get additional money from it's player base in exchange for game enhancements of various forms. There are velvet ropes, micro transactions, expansion packs and, of course, completely new incarnations of old favorites. Many of these things can be very good for your average gamer, but some can get rather cumbersome if you're not tracking how purchases are adding up.

As gamers, we seem to be on a never-ending quest to upgrade our computers, and ironically, even if you buy the latest and greatest, the next day something better is out there.

I've recently had the seriously frustrating, and enlightening, opportunity to group with a person who is new to the whole MMO experience.
